  1. Good start Stu. The only books about music technology I have ever read are by Dave Hunter – one about amplifiers and one about guitar effects. Both take you from no knowledge at all up to quite in depth stuff about how to wire an amp or pedal, lots of photos and circuit diagrams as well as some very readable text.
