The PreSonus AudioBox USB 2×2
If you’re a mobile musician or podcaster on a tight budget, relying mainly on software and a couple of mics or instruments, we have just the recording interface for you: the AudioBox USB.
This simple, handy little box connects to a computer via USB 1.1, works with virtually any PC or Mac, and it has just the right features for your basic guitar and mic recording needs. The AudioBox USB may be small and simple, but it boasts PreSonus quality inside and out. It offers excellent audio performance, thanks to two dual-purpose front-panel mic/instrument inputs with sweet-sounding Class A mic preamplifiers and professional-quality, 24-bit converters that sample at rates up to 48 kHz.
You get a pair of line-level outputs and an ultra-loud, crystal-clear headphone output. MIDI In and Out ports ensure that you can use controllers and keyboards without needing a separate MIDI interface. We could have stopped right there, but we included an internal analog mixer with zero-latency monitoring, enabling you to monitor recorded tracks and overdubs with no annoying delay time. It weighs just 5 pounds and can sit on a tabletop or be mounted in 1/3 of a rackspace.
It’s powered by the USB bus, so you don’t have to mess with a “wall wart” power supply or AC cord. And it’s built to withstand the rigors of travel. We designed AudioBox USB to take a serious pounding and remain completely reliable. It’s built like a small tank, with an all-metal chassis and metal knobs.
Then we added the finishing touch by bundling a free copy of our amazing Studio One® Artist 2 DAW software, PreSonus’ revolutionary new digital audio workstation, with unlimited track count and 6+ GB of 3rd-party resources. And with Studio One’s Nimbit® extension, you can immediately start selling your music.
So throw the AudioBox USB in your laptop bag and take it to your gig, to your hotel room, even to the beach. Wherever your travels take you, your AudioBox USB will be ready to perform.
The Presonus AudioBox 22VSL
The AudioBox 22VSL introduces a new generation of PreSonus USB 2.0 audio/MIDI interfaces that take hardware/software integration to the logical next step.
Using your computer CPU and PreSonus Virtual StudioLive (VSL) software, the AudioBox 22VSL interface provides a 4×2 mixer, reverb and delay effects, and the same Fat Channel compression, limiting, semi-parametric EQ, and high-pass filter, as the PreSonus StudioLive 16.0.2 digital mixer- all with inaudible latency.
Now you can monitor and record with or without real-time effects! To top it off, while the classic PreSonus AudioBox USB is a fine-sounding unit, the new AudioBox VSL series sounds even better, with 24-bit, 96 kHz recording and top-of-the-line PreSonus XMAX preamps.
The Presonus Audiobox 44VSL
The AudioBox 44VSL is the second model in a new generation of PreSonus USB 2.0 audio/MIDI interfaces that take hardware/software integration to the logical next step.
Using your computer CPU and PreSonus Virtual StudioLive (VSL) software, AudioBox VSL-series interfaces provide reverb and delay effects and the same Fat Channel compression, limiting, semi-parametric EQ, and high-pass filter, as the PreSonus StudioLive 16.0.2 digital mixer-all with inaudible latency. Furthermore, thanks to the power of VSL, the AudioBox 44VSL includes an 8×4 software mixer.
As a result, with just an AudioBox 44VSL and your laptop or other computer running VSL, you can mix a studio session or a live show featuring, say, a guitar duo with vocals, a small band, a DJ rig with mixer and stereo synthesizer, or a panel discussion-all while monitoring and recording with or without real-time effects!
And you can do it simply and easily, with no hardware mixer, no outboard effects rack, and minimal wiring, thanks to the tight integration between PreSonus hardware and software.
The Presonus Audiobox iTwo
With the Blue Tube DP V2 dual-path mic/instrument preamp, you get both types of high-quality sound in one unit. No wonder the original BlueTube DP became a classic!
Now we’ve improved on the classic unit with the BlueTube DP V2. The solid-state path now feeds PreSonus’ top-of-the-line Class A XMAX mic preamplifier with 80 dB of variable gain-an upgrade from the original BlueTube DP’s solid-state stage.
The tube path features a 12AX7 tube that operates on voltages double that of other preamplifiers in its class, producing lots of headroom and big tone. We’ve done an assortment of other tweaks as well.
The PreSonus FireStudio Project
In addition to XMAX preamps, the FireStudio Project features high-definition, 24-bit digital converters that sample at up to 96 kHz and provide 114 dB dynamic range.
And with PreSonus’ lauded JetPLLTM jitter-elimination technology, you get the tightest, most reliable digital sync in the industry. Translated into plain English, you can rely on clear, clean audio with great imaging.”
